The Twelve Days of Christmas - in Gaza

Before the current Israeli blitz of Gaza there was a lot of fuss about a Christmas Carol that parodied Israel's brutal behaviour towards its captive population of Palestinians. It makes a perfect statement about what the Israelis have been doing for years and years.

Twelve assassinations,
Eleven homes demolished,
Ten wells obstructed,
Nine sniper towers,
Eight gunships firing,
Seven checkpoints blocking,
Six tanks a-rolling,
Five settlement rings,
Four falling bombs,
Three trench guns,
Two trampled doves
and an uprooted olive tree.
